Refuse good advice and watch your plans fail; take good counsel and watch them succeed.

With advice literally at our fingertips, it is easy to become overwhelmed by the constant bombardment. It seems that everyone has the right formula, best plan, and right path for us to succeed and/or improve our lives. While there are some valid methodologies and programs, there is no substitute for the truth found in God’s word…The Holy Bible. It offers a plethora of advice on what to do and what not to do. Following God’s plan is the best recipe for leading a life full of joy, peace, and love. There is one catch…The word must be studied and then applied. Listening to preachers and teachers of God’s word is great and necessary but that alone will not cultivate a real and intimate relationship with God. God has a plan for each of our lives…His plan is for us to succeed…He has a path laid out for us to follow…It is contained in the words of the scriptures…Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life…The plan for our lives is found in the truth Jesus proclaimed about Himself, the Father, and Holy Spirit…In these are found true life that extends far beyond the finite world we see and experience daily. Take the advice and counsel of God’s word and allow the Holy Spirit to breathe new life into you.
